How do I order?

On the product page, click “add to cart”. You will then be taken to your shopping cart where items will remain unless you empty your cart or leave the site. Click “continue shopping” to return to the store and add more items, or “go to payments” if you're ready to pay.

Orders can also be placed over the phone by calling 020 7503 3478.

How do I pay?

You can pay securely with your credit or debit card - simply enter your card information on the payments page at checkout. Alternatively, If you have a PayPal account, you can use PayPal Express checkout for faster payment processing. We can take card payments over the phone too.

If you'd like to pay by cheque, download an order form here and send with a cheque made out to “Jo Thorne Jewellery” to 33 Limehouse Cut, 46 Morris Road, London E14 6NQ.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is free for orders over £200 to anywhere within the UK and Northern Ireland. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat rate of £7.95. Everything is sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery and is insured up to £500 as standard. See below for international orders.

How long before my jewellery is delivered?

During our busiest period from February through to July, please allow from four to six weeks. It's a good idea to have your hair accessories for your hair trial or to try at a dress fitting, so please bear this in mind when ordering.

What if my order is urgent?

If your order is genuinely urgent, please contact us and we will let you know if we can help - we usually can. Also see our ordering tips page.

What is your privacy policy?

When an order is placed, we ask for the following information:

Name
Email Address
Billing Address
Delivery address
Telephone Number

This data is only used to help process your order, and notify you of any important changes. We will not forward any of your personal information to other companies for marketing purposes, and we will never share your email address with anyone. Here is the full text of our Privacy Policy.

How is my jewellery made?

Jo Thorne tiaras, hairpins and jewellery are all made in sterling silver using the traditional silversmithing techniques of soldering and hand finishing, meaning each piece of jewellery is an individual commission. All items are individually stamped with the designer's hallmark at the London Assay Office.

Can I order a different size/colour/stone?

As everything is an individual commission, we can completely tailor each piece to your individual requirements. Elements such as height and length, the type of stone used or the colour of inlaid resins - all these can usually be changed at no extra cost. Just add your requirements to the Special Instructions field in the shopping cart, or contact us directly.

How should I care for my jewellery?

We have an aftercare page which has lots of useful tips about caring for your jewellery.

Can you make my tiara into something else after my wedding?

Yes, this is an additional service we offer. Jo can transform your tiara into a fabulous item of bespoke jewellery so that the piece you wore on your wedding day can be worn any time - or all the time. The cost of the service is 25% of the value of your original piece. Alternatively, you can exchange your tiara for jewellery of equal value free of charge within 30 days of purchase, or up to 90 days after your wedding for a small admin fee of £15.

Do you offer a bespoke service?

Do you have a shop?

No, we see customers at our studio by appointment only. See next question for details of how to make an appointment.

Can I come and see your collections?

You can make an appointment to come and see us any time. Just call 020 7503 3478 or email us.

Can you gift wrap my order?

All items come packaged in our own boxes, accompanied by a soft jewellery bag. If you require additional gift wrapping with paper and ribbon, we can arrange this for a small extra charge. Please add your request to the Special Instructions field in the shopping cart, and we shall contact you to tell you the cost.

What about special offers and discounts?

Specials are always advertised on our offers page. All discounts are automatically applied when you add items to the cart. Any promotional discount codes should be entered in the voucher field on the first page of the shopping cart.

What if I'm not happy with my order, or I want to try something else?

We want to ensure you are completely happy with your order - we pride ourselves on excellent customer service, and we realise it's sometimes difficult to make the right decision first time. For this reason, you may try out and return as many items as you like, within reason and subject to our returns policy.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your order, simply return it to us in its original packaging and condition within seven days of receipt and before your wedding day for a guaranteed refund or exchange. After your seven day return guarantee, and within 30 days of purchase, we can offer you an exchange of goods. You are responsible for all return postage costs. Our postal address is:

When returning any item to us, please use Royal Mail Special Delivery, and ensure that jewellery is well protected in its original packaging.

Please note that in the unlikely event that an item is damaged or defective, we will of course refund your return postage costs.

What if my jewellery needs repairing?

Simply return it to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery. We will repair it at any time free of charge.

Do you deliver worldwide?

Yes, we deliver anywhere in the world. We charge a flat rate of £12.95 for all international deliveries.
